Managing Ballots
Sample Ballot Mode
Once a ballot has been cerated, it will default into Sample Ballot Mode. This is available in the app immedietly and can only be viewed. The Sample Ballot will display "Sample Ballot" across the top and not inlucde a submit button.
This allows your delegates to view the ballots ahead of time and prepare for assembly when it's time to vote.
Re-ordering Ballots
Your ballots will default into the order you added them. You can drag and drop with the three dots on the left to change the order.
Ballot Options
When a ballot is in Sample Ballot mode, you can edit the options of the ballot by clicking the Pencil icon. This allows you to view and edit the questions and candidates, as well as the ballot options.
If you wish, you can toggle off the Bio Page option for this ballot here.

Going Live
When you are ready to accept votes, you can click the "Go Live" button and the ballot will be ready to receive votes.
The Votes Cast column will update in real-time as votes come in without having to refresh your screen.
On a Live Ballot, you will have the "Reset Ballot" option available to you. This will remove any votes that have come in for a specific ballot and set it rest it back to a "Sample Ballot". These votes will be deleted and data will be lost.
Closing the Vote
When you are ready to close the vote, you can click the button "Close Vote" and confirm you are ready to close the vote. Results for that ballot will be available immediately.
Downloading Results
You have the ability to download to types of reports.
Download > Results will give you an excel file with the summary of results simliar to the View Ballot Results page. It will have totals for each candidate on each question.
Download > Vote Record will give you an excel file with each iteration of vote that has been cast. The Voter ID is not included in this export and the votes are anonymous.
Viewing the Results
Clicking View Ballot Results will open up a new window with a nicely formated view of your results.
You mau need to enable pop-up windows to view this page
You will see a Total Vots Cast number at the top, The question with a table ranked from most to least for each candidate, and a "Create Run-off Ballot" link.
Creating a Run-off Ballot
In the event a run-off is necssary, you can create a run-off ballot from the View Ballot Results page by click the "Create Run-off Ballot" link.
On the next screen, select which candiadtes you want to include on the new ballot (the selected candidates row will highlight orange when selected)

Click "Create New Ballot" when you are ready. The number in the button will show the total count of candidates added to the ballot.
Comfirm how you want to validate the ballot and click "Submit".
The Run-off ballot is now created and will default to use the same name followed by Runoff. This will default into Sample Ballot mode. You can edit the ballot and change the name as needed.
If you are utilizing a Multiple Candidate option, be sure to change the candidate Limit as needed or convert it to a Single Candidate option.
Ballot Count Page
A helpful tool is our Ballot Count Page. This page will show an user (logged in or not) the total counts for any Live Ballots. Then intended use is to be set on an iPad or device at your head table to help assist with the status of the ballots. This data will automatically refresh every 5 seconds.
This page is mobile friendly and can easily be checked with a mobile device.
